Scoop it!!!

Yesterday morning, papa and I went for a swim in the pool. Before we went, Mummy told me that I should do at least 10 laps to get back into practice as my swimming classes were about to start and Sandeep Sir would make me do at least 20 laps.

Once we were in the pool, I started my usual drama of swimming to the side and not doing laps. Papa managed to get me to do 2-3 laps. I started panting for breath and clung on to the side.

Papa tried to persuade me to do more. But I was just feeling too lazy.

So I told him - "Papa, we have done 3 laps already. For the rest, let's just scoop it!!"

PS: Scoop it = Pick it up and dump it in the dustbin.

I fell

Yesterday was a bad day for me. Not only did my best friends get to go for the Havan in school (i have never been taken for that!), but I also fell twice and hurt myself.

First time it happened in school. Me and my friends were playing on the merry-go-round. I am usually very good at getting up on it while it is moving. Yesterday also, I was pushing the thing while my friends were on it. I saw a crescent moon shaped puddle of brown water which I didnt want to step on. So just before that I got on the merry-go-round, to escape it. But as luck would have it, I lost my balance and fell back on the ground, right in the middle of the puddle, bang on my bum. My clothes got all spoilt and my bum hurt. The school didi took me to the playschool toilet and changed my clothes (we always have an extra set of clothes with us - coloured ones). And Sanika (Suhani's sister) even saw me all nangu-pangu in the toilet (Grrrrr....).

Later on, all the children from Neelam Aunty's van asked me what happened and why I was wearing coloured clothes. I got very angry and gave them a stare. I only told what happened to Ved and Siddhanth, who are my friends.

Then in the evening when I was doing skating, I fell again. Since it is monsoon time and it is mostly raining, our skating class has been shifted to P2, which is covered. But that place is also not very even and is all cemented. So while I was skating, I scraped myself a few times and once I even fell and got a bruise near my elbow. I did not cry much but I screamed when Mummy put Savlon on it.

I told everyone all about what happened.

What if I get the slow car!!

This morning, as Ved and I were going to honeybees, Ved mentioned that he has a new game which has two cars racing on tracks. He was asking me to come over and play with him. So we decided we will see which car comes first and which car comes second.

He said that he is sure his car is super fast. Then he also said that maybe both cars will come first.

This got me thinking. What if the other car was not super fast but super slow? Then I would lose everytime.

So I told him - "Ved - we have to exchange the cars after every 5 rounds!!"

The first ever teacher

This morning, I asked Papa - "how did the first teacher ever learnt everything so that she could teach the second teacher?" Papa - "Beta, that is a very good question. How do you think?" Keshav - "I know. She went on the Internet and learnt everything and then she taught the second teacher and then the second teacher taught another teacher and so on." PS: Papa later told me that there was no Internet then. PPS: I asked whether there was any Microsoft then? And he told me there was no Microsoft also... Wow... So amazing...
