Keshav knows..

The adults of today.. they think they are the only ones with smarts and are always trying to pull a fast one on the kids. Little do they know that our generation is way too smart to be taken in by cons like this.

The other day, at lunch time, Amma (the maid) was trying to feed me some yellow kadhi which I did not want. Instead, I wanted some dahi (curd). After a few futile attempts, she tried to tell me that this is not kadhi but dahi.

When I did not fall for it, Papa and Mummy jumped into the fray and tried to explaining to me how kadhi is made of dahi only. I did not like it at all they they also trying to make a mickey of me.

Finally I had to tell them - "Dahi white hota hai!!!"

Goodbye.. my old cycle..

Keshav's first tricycle is going today. Mummy and Papa got me a new bi-cycle - a nice red one with the picture of Lightening McQueen on it. And since the small boy in the lane does not have a cycle, I will give my old blue tricycle to him.

For over a year now my cycle has been my vehicle. I have been riding it sometimes at the club, but mostly in the house. The whole house was like a series of lanes and by-lanes through which I would drive around and find the oddest spots to park. Watching Papa and Driver Uncle drive the car, I also figured out how I should park the cycle in reverse.

I would wake up in the morning and get the cycle out of its night-spot. I would drink my milk, while sitting on it, and sometimes even have my breakfast on it. I was very very possessive of it and would not like it if anyone else sat on it. Infact, I would not even let my dear friend Arushi sit on it.

If anyone moved my cycle from wherever I had parked it, I would not like it at all. I would howl and scream and immediately go and restore it to its original spot.

By now, however, the cycle has fallen in bad times. One eye had been knocked off, the seat had come loose, and the music had also stopped.

I am feeling sad that the blue cycle is gone. I hope the small boy takes good care of it.

Here are some pictures of it..
